Faculty Announcement: Arts Program

Please welcome Ms. Sara Turner to our Arts faculty!

Ms. Turner was a high school valedictorian and has a B.A. in Art from the University of Miami, an M.A. from FSU in Art Education, an M.S. in Politics, a grad certificate in Museum Studies and a B.A. in Early Childhood. Among her recognitions, she was a Gubernatorial Fellow and was the art liaison to first lady of Florida Columba Bush for two years. More recently, Ms Turner has been the founder/director of the PinkCricket Center for Arts Education, a development director for Gulf Coast Academy of Performing Arts, and the Director of Arts/Curricula for the Great Explorations Children’s Museum. A St. Pete native, she is a practicing artist in various mediums.

With Ms. Turner’s addition, we will be expanding our Visual Art curriculum, class time and after school enrichments for our students. New offerings will include “Open Studio” for our Middle School where they will have the opportunity for more individualized instruction in addition to their regularly scheduled Art classes. The Art room is going to be a busy place every day at Country Day!

Welcome aboard Ms. Turner!
